What is Assisted Living?

Assisted Living/Supportive Living meets the needs of seniors who are healthy and independent.

It is not for those who have highly complex and serious health care needs.

 

Assisted Living/Supportive Living provides a safe and comfortable residence and services such as meals, housekeeping and recreational activities.

What is the monthly rent?

The monthly rent for a basic, non-furnished suite is $2,000.00

The monthly rent for a Newly Renovated non-furnished suite is $2,500.00

The monthly rent for a Newly Renovated One Bedroom Unit non-furnished $4,500.00

A fully furnished suite and or TV is available for an additional monthly cost.

 

What services are included in my monthly rent?

24 hour on-site professional staff

An emergency call system

Three delicious and nutritious meals, with an alternate choice

Snacks and beverages available throughout the day

Weekly housekeeping

Weekly bedding and towel changes

All utilities

Basic telephone service except for long distance telephone charges

Basic Cable services

Recreation and fitness program

Use of the private sun room for special occasions (Must be reserved)

 

When do I pay my rent?

You will receive your monthly invoice by the first of the month.

It will detail the accommodation charges and any optional service charges like long distance or personal laundry.

Payment is due the first of each month.

You will receive a written receipt for your records.

 

Will my rent or optional service fees increase?

If there is any change in the rent or optional service fees, you will be given three (3) months written notice in advance of any price increases.

 

What is the term of the lease?

The term of the lease is monthly.

 

Can I bring my own furniture or do you supply furniture?

Yes, this is your home. We encourage you make your suite as comfortable possible.

 

Venta Care Centre supplies a bedside table and a dresser/wardrobe in each room. We encourage creating a home like environment, personal items are welcome. We ask that personal furnishing be kept to within reason for environmental concentration, cleaning and disinfection purposes and the safety of the resident and our staff.

 

We require that furniture have a surface that can be cleaned and disinfected by our house keeping staff.

 

For fabric type furnishings they must be heat treated by a certified disinfectant service professional that meet the heath and safety requirements of Infection Control Procedures Regulations for residential care facilities.

The disinfection process will help ensure that molds, mildew or insects are not introduced to care facilities.

 

All clothing items should be placed in a hot dryer for 30-40 minutes to kill any potential contaminates and sealed in a plastic bag prior to bringing to the Manor.

Can my family and friends visit?

We encourage and welcome family and friends to come and visit you at the Manor. All visitors are required to sign-in at the front desk and sign-out when leaving.

 

For the safety of all of our residents, we would like to be aware of anyone who may be visiting after 8pm. Please advise the staff if you are planning on having visitors arrive after 8pm.

 

If you are not feeling well we ask that you delay your visit until you are feeling better.
