Family Update From Venta Care Centre
Dear valued Venta Care Residents and Families,
We would like to begin by thanking you all for your continued patience and support during this difficult time. Protecting your loved ones and keeping facility staff and visitors safe and healthy remains our highest priority. There continues to be a steady increase in active cases in the community and there are facilities still dealing with outbreaks. Venta thankfully remains outbreak-free because of everyone’s due diligence and sacrifice.
As you may be aware, on Monday, April 26th, 2021, Premier Jason Kenney announced that Alberta will be easing visitor restrictions in long-term care and continuing care facilities in two weeks.
Effective May 10th, 2021 a new public health order, CMOH Order 16-2021, will replace the existing CMOH Order 29-2020. This new order will increase the number of designated support persons from two to four and will allow scheduled small indoor visitation and larger outdoor visitations as the facility can accommodate.
This is exciting news! We are working on a process that will open visitation by Mother’s Day. A newsletter will be sent out on Monday, May 3rd, 2021 outlining our process. Existingvisitation rules will remain in effect until then.
Thank you for your continued patience and support.
